Biography
Brazilian born Mariel Hecher first signed for the Roar in 2020 and has become a mainstay and creative outlet for the club, scoring 6 goals so far.
The 31-year-old re-signed ahead of the 2023/24 season as Vice-Captain, after overcoming an ACL injury that she suffered in December 2022.
Prior to the Roar, Hecher shone for Lions FC for three seasons, where she made 53 appearances and amassed an incredible 73 goal contributions (54 goals, 19 assists).
She’ll look to showcase her attacking prowess and goal-scoring ability once again, while leading by example on and off the field.
