Brisbane Roar Youth will be looking to record their second victory against Perth Glory of the 2017/18 Foxtel Y-League season in their final home game tomorrow (Friday) morning.
The clash against the Glory will be the Young Roar’s last game at Grange’s Lanham Park for the campaign and Head Coach James Robinson says playing on home turf is always an occasion the squad enjoys.
“We like playing at Grange on what is an exceptional surface – every time you get to play in front of your home fans is a special occasion,” Robinson said.

Robinson’s young side will be looking to hit the ground running in similar fashion to the side’s last Foxtel Y-League clash on January 7, when the Young Roar found themselves 3-0 up within 35 minutes.
A Young Roar side featuring a raft of younger academy players was unable to hold the lead with the scoreline finishing an entertaining 3-3, but Robinson says there were plenty of positives to take away.
“We’ve got a lot of young Academy players who stepped up to the plate and performed fantastically. We knew there would be a point where fatigue set in, but that’s something we have to develop over time in our young squad,” he said.
“The pleasing thing is, we went and faced a very strong Melbourne Victory side and scored three great team goals.
“We talk about the potential in this side and delivering that into actions – moving forward our development focus is on consistency and maintaining that high level for a full 90 minutes.”
The last clash with the Glory back in Round 3 finished 2-1 in Brisbane’s favour and the Young Roar are expecting another tight contest.
“They’re going to be very disciplined and bring the game to us. We will just focus on what we can do and strive to continually improve in key areas,” Robinson said.
