Young Roar go down in Melbourne

Our Young Roar has suffered its first defeat of the Foxtel Y-League 2019/20 campaign with a 3-1 loss in Melbourne on Sunday morning.

The Young Roar opened the scoring in the top-of-the-table clash with Melbourne Victory in Epping but were overcome by three goals from the hosts during the second half.

Jai Ingham capitalised on a defensive mishap to open the scoring on 20 minutes – a lead the Young Roar held well into the second half.

Goals six minutes apart with under 20 minutes to play saw the visitors claim the lead before a third on the cusp of stoppage time confirmed the result.

Chris Grossman’s men return home next Saturday for their final home fixture of the season, facing Perth Glory at A.J. Kelly Park (10:30am KO).
