La Dolce Vita Player of the Month – Jamie Young
With just over 73% of the total vote, Roar fans voted in droves for our man between the posts as the Club’s Hyundai A-League Player of the Month for January.
Young was nominated for Save of the Week in each of the Roar’s five fixtures in January, taking out the award three times.
He kept consecutive clean sheets against the Phoenix & Mariners and was a force to be reckoned with between the posts as the Roar took 10 points from a possible 15 during January.
Darling & Co Player of the Month – Isobel Dalton
One of Head Coach Jake Goodship’s new recruits, Dalton has been superb across a range of positions in the opening half of the season, culminating in three performances throughout January from which the fans voted her as Westfield W-League Player of the Month.
Dalton played every minute of the Roar’s three games during the month, even featuring in the unfamiliar role of left back, and doing superbly.
The 22-year-old Queenslander has made a sparkling start to 2020 & will be key to the Roar’s run towards finals.
