Trio face hairy challenge

The face of Brisbane Roar-s attack has been gradually changing this month - and it-s got nothing to do with the new coach - as Henrique, Reinaldo and Sergio van Dijk doing their bit for Movember.
The Roar imports have been doing their best to grow a bit of hair on the upper lip during the course of the month to help raise funds and awareness for men-s health issues in Australia.
Surprisingly, Henrique - the youngest of the trio - has been leading the way with an impressive growth giving him an Eddie Murphy-like quality.
The Brazilian whiz-kid said although he was enjoying a fresh new look, his wife Edna was not so keen.
“She knows it-s for a good cause but she also says after this month I have to shave it off,” Henrique laughed.
Van Dijk said he was in the same boat with his partner, but said the trio would fight to the end to boast the best mo.
“There-s a little bit of competition, but you can-t force the growth of your hair,” he said. “Mine-s not growing that fast!”
The Dutchman said he had never sported a mo- before but was happy to try something new for a good cause.
“As professional footballers, we have a little bit of a higher profile so it-s easier to reach people and get attention for the cause,” he said.
“For us it-s only letting a few hairs grow for a month, so really it-s the least we can do.”
Movember is celebrated across a number of countries and aims to raise awareness for men-s health issues - particularly targeting depression and prostate cancer.
