Head Coach John Aloisi has promoted a young duo for Saturday’s return to Suncorp Stadium to face Melbourne City, with Stefan Mauk also in contention to make a return from injury.
The Roar are back in Brisbane for the first time since Round 2, and are eyeing a first win of the season on home turf.
After missing both trips to Perth and Mudgee through injury, former Olyroo Mauk has been included in Saturday’s 18-man squad.
Mauk joins fellow new recruit Stefan Nigro and former Joeys captain Joe Caletti, who have both been promoted to the squad and are in line for their first minutes of the season.
Striker Adam Taggart will be looking to add to his three-goal tally for the campaign while fan favourite Henrique is also in contention to play his 149th Hyundai A-League match for BRFC.
The Roar has had the better of City in recent meetings at Suncorp Stadium, winning three of the last five (W3, D1, L1) and outscoring City by almost double in clashes in Brisbane.
