Leading goalscorer Adam Taggart has been named in John Aloisi’s 18-man squad to travel to McDonald Jones Stadium on Sunday.
The Roar face the Jets (4pm KO) on the road, looking to bounce back from last weekend’s narrow defeat in Adelaide.
Despite being forced off late in the opening half with a groin complaint, Taggart is in contention to return to the pitch in Newcastle.
Taggart, who made 44 appearances for the Jets between 2012 and 2014, has scored in his last four clashes against the Jets, including on his last three visits to McDonald Jones Stadium.
Frenchman Eric Bautheac, who was also forced off last round, is in contention for the clash as well.
Stefan Mauk will miss the clash with suspension, with defenders Stefan Nigro, Dane Ingham, and striker Nick D’Agostino all promoted to the squad.
