Head Coach Mel Andretta has named a 17-player squad for Sunday’s Westfield W-League Round 2 clash against Western Sydney Wanderers.
The Roar Women hit the road for the first time in Season 2018/19, heading to Sydney’s Marconi Stadium – a venue from which they left with three points last season.
After signing a two-year extension at the Club, goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold is line for her first minutes of the season, as are young stars Indiah-Paige Riley, Kaitlyn Torpey and Annie Grove, who all return from Young Matildas duty.
Arnold is one of three players to have been called up to the Westfield Matildas squad this week, alongside Katrina Gorry and Clare Polkinghorne, while new recruit Chioma Ubogagu will be looking to put in another impressive performance after her debut last weekend earned her a national team call-up for England.
