Brisbane Roar are delighted to announce the return of foundation Westfield W-League player and Club record goalscorer Tameka Yallop for the 2019/20 Season.

One of the Westfield W-League’s most experienced players returns for an 12th season in Brisbane orange after spending the 2018/19 campaign at Melbourne City, as well as the last two winter seasons in the Norwegian Toppserien with Klepp IL.

Yallop, a three-time premiership & two-time championship-winner with the Roar, can’t wait to get started back in the orange.

“I’m stoked to be back at my home club. It’s where I’ve played almost all of my career, all my youth football and back where my family is,” Yallop said.

“It’s great to be back. We’ve always been a top Club in the [Westfield] W-League and I’m sure we’ll be back there again this year.”

Yallop has netted an unparalleled 49 goals for the Club throughout 108 appearances, dating back to the inaugural Westfield W-League season.

She’s become an integral part of the Westfield Matildas’ set-up during an esteemed career, representing Australia at two Olympic games as well as two FIFA Women’s World Cup Cups.

The 28-year-old is the first addition by new Head Coach Jake Goodship ahead of the Westfield W-League 2019/20 campaign.

“We’re excited to have a player of Tameka’s calibre back at the Club,” Goodship said.

“To have one of our foundation players back in Brisbane and representing her home Club is a great occasion for the Club and our fans.

“No player has scored more goals for Brisbane Roar and we can’t wait to see her back on the pitch this season.”
