“There’s something special about this club and I always look forward to coming back home and being a part of this talented group,” 75-time Westfield Matilda Katrina Gorry said.

Having spent her youth playing for Mt Gravatt Hawks before progressing to the Queensland Academy of Sport, Gorry will once again be a player to watch this season.

“I’m really excited to be putting the orange jersey back on for season 11 of the Westfield W-league. I can’t wait for round one!” Gorry added.

Local talents Allira Toby, Natalie Tathem and Kaitlyn Torpey have furthered their careers in Australia’s elite female football competition in previous years while maintaining their Brisbane roots – all three players are products of NPL QLD outfit, Olympic FC.

Former Gap FC defender Summer O’Brien will return to the heart of Roar’s backline, while Toowoomba junior Abbey Lloyd will once again be a threat for opposing defences in season 2018/19.
