School holidays are over but Brisbane Roar made sure the time was well-spent with a number of appearances and promotions around Brisbane.

It all started on 25 September with an open training session at Ballymore that gave young fans a chance to get up close with the Roar players.

The Nova breakfast crew did a live broadcast from the session and the Westfield W-League team also came along to meet the fans, who were able to get onto the pitch for a quick kick-around following training.

Later that day, foreign trio Sergio van Dijk, Reinaldo and Henrique got along to the Roma Street Parkland to check out the Out and About School Holiday Fun festivities.

The players signed autographs and enjoyed mixing with fans in the inflatable Roar Rapid Fire field.

Other attractions included face-painting, crafts and heaps of Roar giveaways.

The fun continued over the following days as kids took part in the Roar Holiday Clinic at North Lakes, which included plenty of fun skills sessions and activities in the pool under the supervision of the Roar development team.

Player appearances around Brisbane then followed, with Liam Reddy, Massimo Murdocca, Michael Zullo and Adam Sarota attending the opening of a new Optus store in the city, before Murdocca, Zullo and Matt McKay went along to the opening of Ian Healy-s new Hoppy-s Carwash.

On Tuesday last week, Roar superstars Charlie Miller and Danny Tiatto presented the Queensland Boys State Teams with their jerseys at Runaway Bay Sports Supercentre.

The pair spoke to the promising young footballers about the opportunities that lay ahead of them and what it takes to make a career out of sport.
