Roary’s Guide to Redcliffe

Roary's Guide to Redcliffe

Our most daring and courageous Roary has been a busy Lion as of late!

It was just last week he went and scattered family tickets around Redcliffe, and in the process discovered some fantastic locations that ALL BRFC members, families, friends and fans can enjoy.

It’s on his journey in Redcliffe, Roary discovered why the region has some great destinations for pre-game entertainment. So, we thought we’d put this guide together thanks to Roary, right in time for our upcoming three home games.

See Roary’s top destinations below:

Undersea Putt & Play
Certainly one of the most exciting of the bunch, Undersea Putt & Play is an under water themed entertainment arcade centre, featuring an 18-hole putt-putt course, gaming arcade, bar and cafe.

Undersea Putt & Play

With a range of exciting opportunities, Undersea has something for everyone and is sure to delight, amaze and excite the kids. Parents can relax in their cafe area while the kids explore the venue. There is a whole range of video games and skill testers, or you can put your Golf skills to the test in the 18-hole mini golf course. Roary certainly enjoyed himself at this one!

This one is for all you sweet tooth’s out there!
At Dough, you can experience one of the best cinnamon doughnuts in Queensland, paired perfectly with a nice hot coffee. This Café & doughnut parlour is the perfect place to relax whilst overlooking the ocean and onlooking the majestic Scarborough beach.

Adjacent to wide-open parks, this café has service with a smile. Roary certainly enjoyed his coffee at Dough, as you can see by the image above. Visit Dough’s Facebook page for more info HERE.

Sunny’s On The Beach
Sunny’s is the ultimate waterfront destination in Margate Beach.
Located on The Sebel Margate Beach, the Rooftop Bar has views of Moreton Bay and Moreton Island. Sunny’s is a versatile space that features a restaurant, cafe and bar. Offering a locally sourced menu, a 200+ wine list and wide range of craft and classic beers, you can enjoy a beachside bite, 7 days a week at Sunny’s …. and before BRFC home games!

Sunny's On The Beach

Treat yourself to a delicious coffee, made with our signature Sunny’s beans or a scoop of artisanal ice cream on a hot summer’s day. You may (or may not) find Roary at Sunny’s for lunch this game-day! See their website HERE.

Beardy’s Bar & Kitchen
In just 2 year’s of operation, Beardy’s has become a local Redcliffe hotspot for all things burgers and craft beers!
Just recently Beardy’s has taken out a top 3 position in The Courier Mail, People’s Choice for Best Burgers in Brisbane, and Runner up in The Forkies Best Customer Service award, along with Best Hangover Meal and Best Drinking Hole in Moreton Bay.

Beardy's Bar & Kitchen

Offering one of the best selections of Craft Beer in the Moreton Bay area coupled with awesome burgers and a chilled atmosphere, Roary recommends Beardy’s bar & Kitchen as the perfect place to catch up, and chill out before our home games at Dolphin Stadium. See their website HERE.

Settlement Cove Lagoon
There’s nothing quite like a refreshing swim in the hot Queensland summer. Settlement Cove Lagoon takes the cake on this one in Redcliffe with all it has to offer families.

Redcliffe Settlement Lagoon

Located in front of Redcliffe parade, this 95m long paradise beside the sea is the perfect place for a fun day out. Learn more on Settlement Cove HERE.

Take a stroll down ‘Bee Gees Way’
Whether you’re a die-hard Bee Gees fan or simply enjoy their melodies, everyone can appreciate the grand scope of a career that spanned 4 decades and sold over 200 million albums. The Bee Gees connection to Redcliffe is symbolised as the birthplace of the band. After emigrating from Manchester in the early 1950’s the Bee Gees signed their first music contract at their very own dinner table, in their home in Redcliffe in 1958.

Bee Gees Way

The Bee Gees way is a fascinating sight and enables you to immerse yourself in the success of such a legendary rock band. Redcliffe Parade & Sutton Street is just meters away from dozens of restaurants, cafés, bars and bistros. Fair to say this spot was almost ‘Too Much Of Heaven’ for our Roary! Learn more about the Bee Gees Way HERE.
