Brisbane Roar have bolstered their stocks ahead of the Westfield W-League 2019/20 season with the signings of two of the NPLW Queensland’s brightest stars.

Rylee Baisden and Claire Farrington become the latest additions to Jake Goodship’s squad after shining on the local scene in 2019.

Baisden arrives at the Roar from grand finalists Moreton Bay United. The American attacker stormed her way to the golden boot with 33 goals in 24 matches during her maiden season down under.

The 24-year-old was one of a number of NPLW players invited to trial with the Roar throughout the off-season & is elated to have earned a Westfield W-League contract.

“It was quite an exciting time being asked to trial – it was the icing on the cake after a good first season in Australia. I didn’t expect I’d get a contract, but I’m honoured to be playing for Brisbane Roar this season,” Baisden said.

“I’ve always wanted to play in the top division and this is ticking boxes on my football career. The Club has a great reputation and I can’t wait to get started.

Farrington, who previously spent time in the BRFC/Queensland Academy of Sport set-up, was a formidable part of Logan Lightning’s defensive unit as they claimed their best ever NPLW Queensland finish in 2019.

The defender joins teenager Kaitlyn Torpey and the versatile Natalie Tathem as defenders locked in for the upcoming campaign.

The two newest additions make it 12 players locked in by new Head Coach Jake Goodship ahead of the Westfield W-League 2019/20 season.
