Reigning Westfield W-League Premiers Brisbane Roar has received a timely boost ahead of the upcoming season with Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) committing to the team as its major sponsor.

BAC has been involved with Brisbane Roar since the inaugural Hyundai A-League season and is now directing its support to the Roar Women to help deliver improved resources and facilities to the team.

“We are delighted to announce that this year we will be supporting the outstanding Brisbane Roar W-League side,” said BAC Head of Corporate Relations Rachel Crowley.

“We are proud that we were able to provide valuable support to the Roar A-League team over the first years of the competition so its in the spirit of that tradition that we are thrilled to now lend our support to the W-League team.”

This is the first time in six seasons that the two-time Westfield W-League Premiers and Champions have had a major sponsor and BAC-s logo will appear on the front of both their home and away jerseys.

“Brisbane Airport has been supporting the club-s community programs since our first season and we are pleased that they have chosen to get behind our W-League team,” Brisbane Roar Strategic Partnerships Manager Steve Guise said.

“The team really appreciate Brisbane Airport-s support and I know they will represent us all again proudly this season.”

Brisbane Roar will be looking to improve on last season’s Westfield W-League season-s semi-final performance when they kick off their season against Canberra United on Saturday, 9 November at AJ Kelly Park, Kippa-Ring.

The new Brisbane Roar Hyundai A-League and Westfield W-League playing kits will be publicly launched in Queen St mall tomorrow at midday.
