Brisbane Roar will play newly-crowned Premiers Canberra United in this weekend’s Westfield W-League Semi-Final on Saturday, 15 February.

Brisbane Roar will play newly-crowned Premiers Canberra United in this weekend-s Westfield W-League Semi-Final on Saturday, 15 February.

After finishing the regular season in fourth position (23 points) behind United (27 points), Sydney FC (26 points) and Melbourne Victory (23 points), the Roar now face the task of knocking off the first-placed side in the nation-s capital.

Sydney FC host Melbourne Victory in the other semi-final, to be played on Sunday, to determine the Grand Finalists for the 2013/14 season.

Brisbane has only missed out on one Grand Final appearance since the inception of the Westfield W-League in 2008.

Canberra beat Belinda Wilson-s side in the opening round of the current campaign but the Roar prevailed 1-0 winners the last time the two sides met in round four.
