Mike Mulvey named a strong Roar squad and their superior class could be seen almost immediately.
Dimitri Petratos, Besart Berisha and Thomas Broich all scored braces for the visitors.
Petratos smartly tucked one past Strikers keeper David Chambers inside a minute to give his side the early advantage.
The Roar went 2-0 up after an own-goal from their opponents. A defensive clearance went horribly wrong when it took an unlucky ricochet into the net.
Chambers had his hands full throughout the first half, and was constantly kept on his toes by Roar striker Berisha.
The pressure showed when Berisha virtually stole the ball from the feet of the hapless goalkeeper and tapped it in for his side-s third.
Petratos was highly involved all night – the Roar recruit-s chip through ball to set up Liam Miller for the fourth goal was right out of the top draw.
Despite the demoralising scoreline, the home side did have their chances.
Former Roar player Jonti Richter nailed a shot from outside the box and was only denied by a diving Matt Acton.
The Roar keeper was also needed to put his body on the line following a clever through ball from the Strikers.
A goal to defender Jack Hingert and a second to Petratos saw the Roar enter half-time boasting an unbeatable 6-0 lead against the National Premier League side.
Unfortunately for the Strikers, the Roar kept their foot on the pedal throughout the second term.
Thomas Broich scored in the 57th minute and less than five minutes later, the Roar-s German star added another goal to make it 8-0.
When substitute Patrick Theodore nudged one in, a double digit scoreline was on the cards for the Roar.
“We want 10! We want 10!” cheered the Den and their wishes were answered when Berisha tapped in from a Broich free kick.
There was no rest for the luckless Strikers even late in the match, Berisha was brought down in the box and the visitors were awarded a penalty.
Antonio Murray stepped up to the spot and added his name to an extensive list of goal scorers.
Credit must again be given to the Brisbane Roar defence, who were able to keep their opponent-s scoreless for the third consecutive match.
