Brisbane Roar defensive duo Ivan Franjic and Jade North have been named in Qantas Socceroos Head Coach Holger Osieck’s 26-player squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifiers against Japan, Jordan and Iraq.
Brisbane Roar defensive duo Ivan Franjic and Jade North have been named in Qantas Socceroos Head Coach Holger Osieck-s 26-player squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifiers against Japan, Jordan and Iraq.
North has represented Australia at senior level 39 times while Franjic will be hoping to add to the three caps he earned in December at the EAFF Qualifying Tournament in Hong Kong.
The Qantas Socceroos are currently in third position of Group B and need positive results from their remaining three matches to secure a top two place in the group to guarantee automatic qualification for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil.
The upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup Asian Qualifier between the Qantas Socceroos and Japan, Jordan and Iraq will be broadcast exclusively live on FOX SPORTS with SBS TV as the exclusive free to air broadcaster for all three (3) matches.
