A late brace to Besart Berisha saw Brisbane Roar run out 2-1 winners over Wynnum Wolves on Tuesday night.

After more than 80 minutes of no goals, a clear foul on Thomas Broich inside the penalty area gave Berisha the opportunity to break the deadlock from the spot.

He coolly converted before Wolves took the ball straight down the other end of the park and earned themselves a free-kick just on the edge of the box.

Alex Janovsky stepped up and curled the dead ball over Matt Acton in the Roar goal, equalising the encounter with less than five minutes left to play.

But, Berisha wasn’t done for the night – striking a powerful shot from 20 yards out to seal the 2-1 result.
