Roar Academy provide mentoring to John Moriarty Football Foundation

Brisbane Roar Academy is pleased to have provided coaching education and mentoring to the John Moriarty Football Foundation in Far North Queensland.

Academy Coach Dean May recently returned from delivering a three-day coaching course in Kuranda to the John Moriarty Football Foundation (JMF), providing football education to the local football community.

On the first day, Dean conducted a workshop for JMF coaches with a focus on the ‘FUNdamentals’ of coaching. The coaches were then able to implement this new knowledge from the workshop into practice over the next three days in Kuranda. The three-day clinic was designed for the local indigenous community with ongoing support and guidance from the BRFC Academy moving forward.

Despite the rain, the spirits were high for both the coaches and children who benefited from the training and new information provided.

The BRFC Academy was made to feel very welcome and we would like to thank all of those involved in organising this clinic.

We hope this is the start of a valuable and rewarding support program between the BRFC Academy and those involved in the JMF.
