REPORT: Roar defeat Gap FC in their first pre-season game

The Roar Women opened their Westfield W-League 2017/18 pre-season with a strong performance and a 2-1 win against The Gap FC on Friday night.

The match between the two talented sides helped celebrate 25 years of women's football at Walton Bridge Reserve.

A brace from striker Abbey Lloyd in Roar’s first pre-season match saw Mel Andreatta's side record a confidence-building victory in front of a stellar turnout.

Head coach, Mel Andreatta was honoured to play the game celebrating women within Gap FC history at the club where she began her coaching career.
