The reigning World Player of the Year, Nadine Angerer is the biggest name to ever play in the Westfield W-League.
The Germany captain won the 2013 FIFA Ballon d'Or, the most prestigous individual accolade in world football, at FIFA headquarters in January this year, alongside Cristiano Ronado. Last year, Angerer lead her country to a UEFA European Championship victory in 2013 – saving two penalties in the final against Norway – and was subsequently crowned Europe’s best player by UEFA.Throughout her stellar career, Angerer has also won two FIFA Women’s World Cups and five UEFA European Football Championships. This is her second season playing for Brisbane Roar.
