Brisbane Roar tonight take on Philippines Football League champions Ceres Negros at Queensland Sport & Athletics Centre (QSAC) Stadium in an AFC Champions League Preliminary Stage 2 clash (7pm KO).
“Our Club is pleased to once again be in a position to qualify for Asia’s elite club football competition,” BRFC Managing Director David Pourre said.
“We are expecting a tough challenge against Ceres-Negros. We’re confident we will progress to the final qualifying round where Chinese Super League top-four side Tianjin Quanjian awaits.”
“We encourage all football fans to join us at the Queensland Sports & Athletics Centre (QSAC) for our AFC Asian Champions League 2018 adventure and experience football in Asia.
A victory at QSAC would see the Roar travel to China on Tuesday, 30 January to face Tianjin Quanjian with the victor progressing into Group E alongside Jeonbuk Hyundai (Korea Republic), Kitchee SC (Hong Kong) and another qualifier (TBC).
