Hayley Raso’s late winner has earned Brisbane Roar back-to-back Westfield W-League victories.
The Roar built on last weekend’s maiden win with a pulsating 3-2 win over Adelaide United at Lions Stadium on Saturday afternoon, sending the Roar Women soaring up the ladder.

A brace from Hayley Raso, capped off with a late winner, and an early strike from 17-year-old Indiah-Paige Riley was enough for the Roar Women to earn the three points, but not without a scare from the Reds who recovered a two-goal deficit with 15 minutes on the clock.
The Roar dominated large portions of the match, but were unable to make the most of their dominance in the front third after a blistering start to the game.
“We took our foot off the gas a little bit. We got a little frustrated and it affected our performance which we addressed at half-time,” Head Coach Jake Goodship said.
“We were exceptional in the first 20 minutes – scored two & could have scored more. We took our chances in that period, but we needed to continue that into half-time.
“Two wins on the bounce gives us a bit of momentum now. We’re a side that will always create chances and we’re confident that we can continue on with this.”
The Roar will next head to Melbourne to face defending Premiers Melbourne Victory on Friday night before returning to Queensland for two matches in quick succession either side of New Years’ at Lions Stadium & Dolphin Stadium.

A solo run from Mallory Weber ends with a right-footed strike into the corner.

Raso wins the race with Willacy to the ball, rounding the keeper before finishing coolly into an empty net.
