For a second month running, our fans have voted Carson Pickett and Eric Bautheac as our La Dolce Vita Players of the Month.

The duo, who ran out strong winners in the October vote, earned the plaudits of our supporters following another strong string of performances in Brisbane orange.

Bautheac

Bautheac edged Alex Lopez & prolific striker Adam Taggart for the November gong and is quickly establishing himself as one of the Hyundai A-League’s most dangerous creative forces.

He leads the squad in assists, crosses and dribbles, and fouls won in what has been an impressive opening six rounds from the French winger.

Only five players throughout the Hyundai A-League have created more chances, suggesting the former Ligue 1 player will soon be adding to his goal tally down under.

Pickett

Despite being labelled as a defender, Pickett’s versatility up and down the left flank has seen her cause carnage at both ends of the park this season.

She netted our Roar Women’s first two goals of the season, the latter a well-placed free-kick which proved to be the decisive strike in a 1-0 win against Western Sydney.

Pickett was also named Player of the Match in the narrow defeat against Adelaide United, and played a key role in the Roar’s second clean sheet of the season against Newcastle last round.

She finds herself inside the league’s top 10 for goals through the first five rounds – she also joins teammates Katrina Gorry, Celeste Boureille & Clare Polkinghorne in the competition’s Top 20 passers.
