The 2020/21 season will make it nine campaigns in Brisbane orange for the damaging attacker who is closing in on 100 Westfield W-League appearances for the Club.

“It’s always nice to come home and play in the orange kit. I know [Head Coach] Jake [Goodship] has been working hard behind the scenes to build a great environment and we’ve brought some great players in so I’m excited to see it all,” Gorry said.

“I’m a family person – I have a lot of them and some new borns in the family to so I needed to come home and stay home. It’s really special to play in front of family and friends – the Roar Corps are part of that family so it wouldn’t have felt right not playing for them and our fans.”

With 78 Westfield Matildas caps under her belt, the 2014 AFC Women’s Player of the Year is a huge addition to Head Coach Jake Goodship’s squad.

“Katrina has been one of the Westfield W-League’s finest footballers for some time now and she has been an incredible player for Brisbane Roar over many years,” Goodship said.

“It’s an exciting signing for the Club. To have a player of Katrina’s calibre back in Australia, back in Brisbane, well done to everyone involved in making it happen – the fans will love it.”
