Jamie Young returned to his hometown in 2014 after more than a decade after leaving for England as a teenager.
Young has made 44 Hyundai A-League appearances for the Roar in the past two seasons and stepped up during the 2014/15 campaign following a wrist injury to Michael Theo.
He played his junior football at Albany Creek, Pine Hills, Eastern Suburbs and Queensland Academy of Sport. Young played for a range of clubs during his 13 year stint in the United Kingdom, making over 245 professional appearances. He represented England at various youth levels but is also an Australian citizen.
