Brisbane Roar captain Tom Aldred could make his return from injury in Friday night’s A-League away game against Newcastle Jets.
The big defender is a chance to feature at McDonald Jones Stadium after being named in Head Coach Warren Moon’s extended 20-man squad.
Brisbane will, however, be without Josh Brindell-South, who dislocated his shoulder in last weekend’s slender loss to Adelaide United.
“Josh is not as bad as maybe first feared, but he won’t travel to Newcastle unfortunately,” Moon said.
The Roar have already taken four points from their two meetings with the Jets this season, with that haul including a 2-1 win in the Hunter in January.
