Senior defenders Tom Aldred and Macaulay Gillesphey are back in contention for Brisbane Roar going into Friday night’s A-League away game against Macarthur FC.
Head Coach Warren Moon has named the pair in an extended 20-man squad for the Matchweek 16 trip to Campbelltown Stadium.
Roar captain Aldred has overcome a minor niggle that ruled him out of last weekend’s draw with Western Sydney Wanderers on a precautionary basis.
Gillesphey, meanwhile, is available again after serving a one-match suspension following his red card against Newcastle Jets in Matchweek 14.
Jack Hingert will miss the Macarthur match as a result of the knee problem he sustained late on against the Wanderers.
However, Moon indicated he was cautiously optimistic over the status of the injury.
“It’s positive news,” Moon said. “I don’t want to say too much until we confirm 100% what it is, but it’s definitely not worst case. We’re confident we’re going to see him again this season.”
