Brisbane Roar is pleased to announce the signing of experienced Australian midfielder Brad Inman ahead of Hyundai A-League Season 2019/20.

The Adelaide junior, who played his youth football at current Premier League outfit Newcastle United, has amassed 194 League One appearances, scoring 28 times across stints at Crewe Alexandra, Peterborough and Rochdale.

After representing Scotland at U19 and U21 levels, Inman was also called up to the Socceroos squad for an international friendly against England in 2016.

Following several seasons in England, Inman says he’s excited ahead of his first Hyundai A-League campaign back on Australian soil.

“Being Australian, it’s good to come home and it will be a great challenge and a new opportunity,” Inman said.

“When I spoke with [Head Coach] Robbie [Fowler] about his plans, straight away I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of.”

The 27-year-old becomes the seventh addition to Head Coach Robbie Fowler’s squad following a number player announcements this week, including English defender Macaulay Gillesphey – one of Inman’s former Newcastle United teammates.

“I’ve played against a few of the new boys and I was at Newcastle with Macaulay too,” Inman continued.

“I’m starting at a new club but I feel comfortable already. I know all the boys are really looking forward to getting started.”

Inman will link up with his new team-mates ahead of the commencement of official pre-season training next week.
