Fresh from his match-winning antics against Wellington Phoenix in round one, Brisbane Roar-s Ivan Franjic now has his sights set on the club-s next three points.

Franjic was the Roar-s standout performer against the Phoenix in the opening round, teeing up striker Besart Berisha for his 46th minute equaliser and scoring the dramatic match-winner in the 92nd minute after hitting the woodwork twice.

Brisbane host Alessandro Del Piero-s Sydney FC in their first home fixture of the Hyundai A-League 2013/14 season this Saturday night and the versatile 26-year-old said the squad was relishing their return in front of their passionate home supporters.

“Getting three points and then coming back to play Sydney in front of a big home crowd, we-ll be looking to get another three points this weekend,” Franjic said.

“It-s Queensland against New South Wales. We-re all excited and can-t wait to get out there on Saturday night.”

Franjic refused to buy into the hype surround Del Piero, who – like Franjic – also managed a goal and an assist in his first game of the season.

“I think they-ve got a few quality players, not just one man,” he said.

“We-re going to prepare ourselves, worry about ourselves and play the football that we known for playing.

He also gave special mention to the team spirit that was evident in round one, coming from a goal down to defeat Wellington in difficult circumstances.

“It just shows the character of the boys,” Franjic said.

“Last year, we would have lost that game 1-0 and to come back and win it 2-1 was great to get our season off to a good start.

“I thought all the boys did well, especially Theo who pulled off that important save in the first half.
“If he didn-t it would have gone to 2-0 and we plucked away, luckily in the end we got the result that we wanted.”
