Football Federation Australia CEO David Gallop has accepted an invitation to be a special guest at Brisbane Roar-s next home match, on Friday, 1 February against Central Coast Mariners at Suncorp Stadium to promote the link between local football and the Hyundai A-League.
Gallop will meet and address three key stakeholders of the game in Queensland, grassroots football representatives, the club-s corporate partners and Roar supporters, during his time in Brisbane.
“Having David join us for this match is fantastic and we-re pleased he-s able to meet so many people that contribute to not only this football club, but local football as well,” General Manager Sean Dobson said.
“We want to galvanise the connection between grassroots football - the future of the game - and Brisbane Roar and we-re delighted to incorporate the support of FFA into this relationship.”
In a pre-match function at the stadium, Gallop will speak to representatives of Queensland-s grassroots football associations, including Football Brisbane, Football Queensland and Queensland Christian Soccer Association, as well as members of each ONE GOAL club.
The FFA CEO will also visit the Brisbane Roar Business Club in Suncorp Stadium-s Northern Skyline Lounge to greet club sponsors, business partners and VIP guests before he speaks to fans on-field with match day host Hinksy.
Brisbane Roar is aiming to continually develop the link between grassroots football and the club, with the ONE GOAL rewards program proving vital in this progression since its launch in mid-2012.
