For the ninth time in 10 seasons, our dedicated members & fans can look forward to seeing our boys in orange in action in finals football.

With just the one match remaining in the Hyundai A-League season, our spot inside the league’s top six is secure & we can look ahead to our first finals match since 2018.

DETAILS: Hyundai A-League 2019/20 Finals Series dates, venues & kick-off times

The season’s final fixture – a clash on Wednesday night between Western United & Melbourne City – will impact both the Roar’s final finishing position, as well as our first finals opponent.

If you’re still a bit unsure of what needs to happen, we’ve made it nice & easy for you.

As it stands
The Roar’s finals spot is secure with a season tally of 40 points from 11 wins, 7 draws & 8 defeats enough to return Brisbane to finals football. We will finish a point behind third-placed Wellington with Western United still in contention to better both teams’ final tallies in their final fixture.

If Western United win
If Western United secure victory over City on Wednesday night, they will jump both the Phoenix & Roar into third place, setting up an Elimination Final clash between those two sides with the Roar finishing the season in fifth. We’ve split the ledger against the Nix this campaign with a draw and a win apiece.

If it’s a draw
If the two sides split the points, Western United’s superior goal difference will still see them pip the Roar for fourth spot, but it won’t be enough for them to eclipse the Nix. That result would see the Roar face the league’s new boys in their inaugural finals fixture.

If Melbourne City win
The Hyundai A-League ladder will remain as is with a City win, seeing the Roar end the season in fourth position and face Western United first-up.
