Brisbane Roar will discover their FFA Cup Round of 32 opponents when the live draw takes place from 7:30pm on Thursday, 8 July.
The Roar have been placed into the ‘North’ zone for the draw, to be streamed live via the official FFA Cup Facebook and My Football YouTube accounts.
Brisbane are joined in the North zone by four other Queensland clubs – Edge Hill United, Gold Coast Knights, Lions FC and Peninsula Power – plus Casuarina FC from the Northern Territory.
There are three further zones in operation at the Round of 32 stage – East (12 clubs), South (8 clubs) and West (6 clubs).
From the Round of 16 onwards the draw will be completely open, one of a number of changes to the 2021 edition of the FFA Cup.
The FFA Cup winner will now be awarded one of Australia’s preliminary round slots in the AFC Champions League (subject to meeting AFC Club Licensing requirements).
The Roar are in the hunt after qualifying for the Round of 32 as a result of finishing fourth in the last A-League season.
