Brisbane Roar-s Cash for Clubs initiative is proving to be a success at a local level, as has been exemplified in recent weeks by Virginia United.

The Cash for Clubs program allows football clubs to purchase tickets to Brisbane Roar-s home Hyundai A-League fixtures in bulk with 10 per cent of the ticket price returned to the club.

The specific Cash for Clubs tickets grant admission to Suncorp Stadium-s select Club House area, a private space to watch the game with access to an exclusive bar with premium beverages and player appearances at half-time for signatures and photos.

Those present are also able to show their true colours and give their match-day experience a local feel by displaying their own club banners and flags in the Club House.

With the club with the best attendance at each of the Roar-s home matches winning a match ball to use for fundraising, Virginia United have already received five balls, signed by the entire Brisbane squad.

Head of Seniors at Virginia United, Dan Perna, said he would recommend the Cash for Clubs initiative to all local football clubs around Brisbane.

“It-s been really good to have the support of the Roar and the time devoted to us,” Perna said.

“The Club House is great, having your own bar definitely helps bring people back and it-s always good to have the players come up and have a chat at half-time.

“It-s easy to book and now with these SMS tickets, it-s so easy.

“The signed balls we-re using to raffle and the money we-ve received back from the Roar is going towards new kits and new balls for the club.”

In addition to the immediate return received, the local club with the best attendance across the whole Hyundai A-League season will win:

• An invitation to a Brisbane Roar training session and barbeque with the players
• A full table at the club-s presentation night
• 22 junior players from the club to lead the teams onto the field at the opening home game of Brisbane Roar-s 2012/13 season.
