Brisbane Roar-s challenge to claim an unprecedented Hyundai A-League three-peat will start in Perth, following the release of the official 2012/13 fixture list by Football Federation Australia today.

Brisbane will travel west in week one of the Hyundai A-League for a Grand Final re-match with Perth Glory on October 7 in a game which promises to get the season off to an exciting start.

The club-s local fans won-t have long to wait to see their team in action, with another huge clash lined up for Suncorp Stadium in week two of the league against Ange Postecoglou-s Melbourne Victory side on October 13.

The draw features two home clashes with the Victory, while traditional rivals Sydney FC will also visit Suncorp Stadium twice during the season.

Brisbane Roar General Manager Sean Dobson said the he was extremely pleased with the draw the club had received.

“Overall we think it is an excellent draw,” Dobson said.

“We-ll see two of our traditional rivals twice during the season and our fans will also have an opportunity to see their team face the new west Sydney side twice.

“In terms of scheduling, we believe there are times and days for our home fixtures which will suit just about every sports fan in south-east Queensland.”

Brisbane will play four Saturday games (kicking off at 6.45pm) and four Sunday games (kicking off at 4pm) which provide excellent times for families to attend games.

Another feature of the draw is a Suncorp Stadium New Year-s Day clash with Wellington Phoenix.
