Brisbane Roar players took to the streets of the city to continue celebrating the club-s on-field success this past season.

The Hyundai A-League squad and members of the Westfield W-League squad were paraded through the heart of Brisbane to thousands of excited fans following both sides claiming their respective championship trophies.

Driven through Queen Street Mall in the back of Shelby Cobra sports cars, the players were cheered on by young and old alike.

The parade finished at King George Square where a large crowd was gathered to welcome the players and coaching staff for the official presentation of the key to Brisbane.

Brisbane Lord Mayor Campbell Newman was on hand to award the key to the city to club captains Matt McKay and Clare Polkinghorne, much to excitement of the fans.

Once the formal ceremony was concluded the players spent plenty of time signing autographs and posing for photos in the hot conditions.

Members of the Hyundai A-League squad will continue to make appearances at local football clubs this week with the Championship trophy.
