Brisbane Roar supporters can claim they’re a part of the A-League’s biggest fan base, according to new research from Roy Morgan.
The study reveals Brisbane Roar has outdone its fellow A-League competitors on the supporter ladder with its fan base stretching more than half a million people.
The research, based on Australians aged 14 and older, has the Roar’s 508,000 fans edging champions Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory at the top of the supporter ladder, with a significant increase from a year earlier.
The Roar’s figure increased by 6.7% in the last 12 months, making it the only A-League club to surpass half a million fans in 2020.
“Brisbane Roar has, without a doubt, the finest supporters in the A-League and It’s terrific to see how far our dedicated supporter base reaches right across Queensland and Australia,” Brisbane Roar CEO David Pourre said.
It’s the second straight year that the Roar has topped the Roy Morgan A-League Club Supporter Ladder after climbing from third in 2018.
