TICKETS: Be there as we face the Sky Blues in maroon

It’s the third season in a row the Club will sport maroon in a home fixture against Sydney FC, as sky blue once again takes on maroon at Suncorp Stadium.

Captain & proud Queenslander Matt Mckay says it will be a proud occasion to once again play on Suncorp Stadium in the maroon strip.

“I’m a proud Queenslander so to have this as our third strip is pretty cool and to wear it when we’re playing Sydney FC – Queensland vs New South Wales, it’s a great touch and we’ll be channelling all that Queensland spirit throughout the team this Friday night,” McKay said.

The Roar head into Friday’s clash looking to make it back-to-back wins against the Sky Blues, having run out 2-1 winners over Sydney FC when the sides met at Suncorp Stadium earlier this season.

McKay says that that Queensland fighting spirit had been a key component to the Roar’s success throughout the years.

“It’s come through in the Brisbane Roar as well, the never-say-die attitude where you can win a game late on or come from a goal behind to equalise and that’s part of what’s made our club so great and of course the state,” McKay continued.
