With the Hyundai A-League season nearing kick off, Brisbane Roar FC hosted their second annual High Performance Workshop on Monday, featuring special talks from Shane Stefanutto, Jeff Hopkins and Mike Mulvey.

The workshop provided a behind-the-scenes aspect into the training and coaching world of the two-time Hyundai A-League Champions.

Brisbane Roar vice captain Shane Stefanutto spoke about a “Week in the Life” of a Hyundai A-League player before Head Coach Mike Mulvey and National Youth League Coach Jeff Hopkins delivered coaching insights and vision for 2013/14 season.

The workshop was exclusive to Brisbane Roar ONE GOAL clubs, bringing together 110 players and coaches and provided insights in to coaching philosophies and player experiences from a professional football team.

It also allowed Brisbane Roar-s team partners Puma, Musashi, 2XU and Hart Sport to showcase their technology and developments in their brands that are relevant to football at both a professional and local level.

“The workshop was a great success and allowed local clubs a special insight to the preparation and planning of both players and coaches at a professional football club,” ONE GOAL manager Brendon Boss said.

“We-re confident each and every ONE GOAL club representative took something useful out of the workshop and we-re glad we-re able to show our support for them by hosting events like these.”

With this workshop being such a huge success we look to hold another one with the local clubs in early February in time for the local club pre-season.

The Brisbane Roar ONE GOAL program is completely free to join. If your club is not yet involved or if you would like some additional information, please contact Brendon Boss on (07) 3123 7103 or bboss@brisbaneroar.com.au or visit www.roaronegoal.com.au
