The agreement is another significant boost for the club ahead of the opening of the Hyundai A-League 2010/11 season.
Brisbane Roar CEO Peter McLennan said the deal was a win for both parties.
“We-ve always been confident of reaching a mutually beneficial arrangement throughout this process,” McLennan said.
“For Brisbane Roar, it means we will continue to showcase the best Australian football talent at the best football stadium in the country.
“Our players will have the best facilities on and off the pitch and our fans will have a great view regardless of where they sit.
“On the stadium-s behalf it means football remains an important part of its operations and I-m sure it is a relationship which will continue to grow.”
Suncorp Stadium General Manager, Alan Graham welcomed the decision by the Brisbane Roar to play its Hyundai A-League games at the Stadium for the next five years.
Mr Graham said the Brisbane Roar Board had shown tremendous foresight in committing to the Stadium long-term.
“Despite media speculation to the contrary, the Brisbane Roar board to its credit, recognised Suncorp Stadium as the most commercially viable venue going forward,” Graham said.
“They are successful business-people in their own right who understand the market and the importance of customer service, they are also passionate about football and know only too well it is the sleeping giant of Australian sport.
“Their decision is about the Roar being able to showcase football at a world-class venue and taking advantage of the associated opportunities to grow the game not only in south-east Queensland but the whole State.
“We look forward to being a partner in the future success of Brisbane Roar, both on and off the field,” Mr Graham said.
