Brisbane Roar is delighted to announce the introduction of several new programs to our Academy program starting in 2020.

The Brisbane Roar Academy is committed to providing a tangible pathway for Queensland’s brightest young football talents to the Hyundai A-League & Westfield W-League.

In 2020, we will be introducing a host of new programs to our Academy program, overseen by experienced & highly accredited coaches, designed to help the next generation of Brisbane Roar stars reach their potential.

With an esteemed list of goalkeepers having donned the famous Brisbane Roar kit, we will be introducing a specialised Goalkeeping Academy in 2020. The new Goalkeeping Academy places emphasis on developing technical ability for players to have the skills necessary to compete at the top level.

The program will focus on creating a positive learning environment, using realistic practices and coaching techniques while facilitating an exciting and fun environment for players.

2020 will also see the introduction or our Skills Training Centres, providing young footballers with the opportunity for an additional weekly training session, specifically to complement their work in club land.  These programs are designed for Academy members who want to take their game just that little bit further & improve themselves on and off the pitch.

General Manager of the BRFC Academy Warren Moon says the new BRFC Academy programs are exciting prospects for the development of players throughout Queensland.

“We’ve got more programs than ever before for Brisbane Roar – lots of programs that we’re looking to roll out in 2020 that we’re really excited about,” Moon said.

“We believe the environment here is going to allow our players to perform the level we expect them and give them an environment where they can improve themselves as players”.
