Matchday guide: Westfield W-League Semi-Final

Sunday's Westfield W-League Semi-Final at Perry Park will now kick-off at 4pm local time.

The decision was made on Friday to delay kick-off by one hour due to expected hot temperatures in Brisbane on Sunday afternoon.

"Based on the latest weather forecasts, FFA has taken the proactive step of rescheduling the kick-off time for Sunday’s Westfield W-League 2018 Finals Series match between Brisbane Roar FC and Melbourne City FC at Perry Park from 3:00pm (AEST) to 4:00pm (AEST).

"Under the FFA's Heat Policy, the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) is currently predicted to be over the threshold of 28 degrees at 3:00pm (AEST) and is expected to fall to a safe and acceptable level for the match to kick off at the rescheduled time."

We've already taken out the Premiership, now we have our eyes set on doing the double.

This Sunday, we take on Melbourne City in a do-or-die blockbuster Westfield W-League Semi-Final with a spot in the Grand Final up for grabs.

Limited street parking in the areas surrounding the venue will be available. We encourage those planning on driving to Perry Park to allow plenty of time before kick-off.

There will be no designated public transport services for the event. For those wishing to travel via public transport, Bowen Hills Train Station is a short 150m walk from Perry Park.

Due to track closures, BUSES WILL REPLACE TRAINS ON THE BEENLEIGH AND GOLD COAST LINES BETWEEN PARK ROAD AND VARSITY LAKES STATIONS. Translink recommends allowing approximately 60 minutes extra travel times.

GET YOUR W-LEAGUE JERSEYS

You too can now get kitted out just like your favourite Roar Women. Head to the Rebel Sport van at Perry Park and grab a Brisbane Roar Westfield W-League jersey.

You can also head to the Solo Hill to have your photo taken with the Westfield W-League Premiers Plate.

HOW DO WE COMPARE WITH MELBOURNE CITY?

We're undefeated against our Victorian opponents this season. We followed up an impressive 2-0 win at home with a gritty scoreless draw in Melbourne just a matter of weeks ago. City are striving for their third straight Grand Final appearance, while a win on Sunday would see us qualify for our sixth, and first since 2014.
